London Fashion Week

Urgh. It seems that I 've hit that dreaded state of mind all creatives hit once in a while. I'm stuck in that cliche'd period where inspiration is lost and any motive is beaten to a pulp. I'm not the only one, it might just be a seasonal thing- boredom with grey skies, restlessness for spring. Or just my usual procrastinator-self trying to shake off the huge responsibilities with my final major project coming up.

Anyway, I have been in a rut and found an opportunity out with London fashion week, and one of my favorite bloggers, Miss Moss' post (here) on designer, Mary Katrantzou, and LFW (here). This is kinda a weird subject for me to draw, as anyone who knows me knows that I am the most unfashionable person ever. I'm talking Birkenstocks and harem pants bad.

It's all so beautiful though, so I was inspired to do some messy color pencil sketches of some pieces I thought were lovely. I keep forgetting how fricken tall these ladies are, so alas, you do not get to see their pants or shoes. I also keep forgetting how fricken important the pants and shoes are in a fashion drawing, alas. Haha

PS- Did you notice that both designer's initials are the same? Weird. Also did you notice that these drawings are mad dusty? I liked the effect and decided against eraser and clone tool, hope no one minds.

  1. Lovely fashion illustrations, but I guess like your nude drawings and smallpaw illustrations even better.
